Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide high speed recording by blowing ink particles by applying electric signal to the recording head consisting of plural number of nozzles, thus recording the plural number of lines at once and making it possible to perform flat bed scanning by a low speed main scanning system.
CONSTITUTION: The time-series signal consisting of plural lines corresponding to the adjacent picture element dissolution in the longitudinal direction on the orginal sent from the transmitting system is temporarily memorized by each line in buffer memories LM1...LM6. Then, ink particles 16 are blown out by applying electric signal to recording head 19 consisting of plural number of nozzles 14 corresponding to the picture signal of each line obtained by controlling the writing and reading from the memory and record the plural number of lines at a time. With this invention, the flat bed scanning is made feasible by the low speed main scanning system and, therefore, the recording speed can be increased extensively.
