Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable utilization of compressed air dried by means of terrestrial heat for pneumatic instruments without fail by weakening the corrosiveness of the corrosive gas contained in the compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: Terrestrially heated fluid obtained from a terrestrial heat well is separated by a separator 1 into steam and hot water, which water is fed through a three-way valve 3 into one of two system refrigerators 2a, 2b. Refrigerating heat is produced due to the temperature difference between the hot water and the coolant, for example, within the regriferator 2a to thereby cool the air intaken from the atmosphere. Thus, the air is highly dried due to solidification and separation of contained water content in the air. The dried air is then fed through a three-way valve 4 into a heater 5, and heated substantially to room temperature. It is then compressed by air compressor 6, and fed to an instrument, valve or the like. The hot water in the refrigerator 2a is introduced to the heater 5 on one way and also to the refrigerator 2b to melt the ice.
