PURPOSE: To provide a water electrolytic system gas generator by which a large amt. of oxygen-hydrogen mixed gas can be generated efficiently in spite of its small- sized body by constituting the gnerator so that the sustaining time and the pause time of a pulse current supplied to an aq. soln. of an electrolyte can be specified, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: When switching element 18 is energized, aq. soln. 4 of an electrolyte, e.g. 15% aq. soln. of KOH is electrolyzed to generate O2 from the anode surface and H2 from the cathode surface. The O2 and H2 are gathered in the upper part of electrolytic chamber 3, released 11 as oxygen-hydrogen mixed gas into washing soln. 8, washed, further released 12 into dehydrating soln. 10 to remove steam, and supplied 9 to a burner from the central part of cover 2.
