Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a burner system for use in manufacturing tubular bulb, which is capable of fixing a stem sealedly, filling of gas to be charged in the bulb and cutting and sealing of an air exhausting tube, with the same work head, whereby it is enabled to simplify the structure of the burner system and to improve efficiency of operation.
CONSTITUTION: Top portion of air exhausting tube D of stem B is clamped at air- exhausting head 13, with the tube D being inserted into hole 9 formed in the body 1 of burner for receiving the tube D and lead wires E, E being inserted into lead-wire inserting holes 8, 8. Then, body 1 of burner is moved forward in the direction of arrow X to a position where tapered portion 7 at the top of stem sealing burner 2 is held in abutment with the inner surface of flared portion C of stem B, and the stem sealing burner 2 is ignited to heat the opening end portion of bulb A and peripheral portion of said flared portion C, thereby fusing them together in a sealed manner. Subsequently, by use of head 13, cleaning of the inside of bulb A, dripping of marcury and filling of charged gas are effected by means of merculry dripping means 17 and air exhausting and gas supplying means 19. Then, burner 3 for sealedly cutting the air exhausting tube is ignited to sealedly cut the tube D by the gas flame egected from nozzle 11.
