Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of a gas plenum part volume and to enable the gas seal easy, by means of forming a gas introducing hole at the end plug of a cladding tube, and of welding after the gas being sent into the cladding tube in an engaged state of one part of the end plug with the cladding tube.
CONSTITUTION: A gas introducing hole 2 of L letter mark shape is bored in the inserting part to a cladding tube 4 of an end plug 1. The introducing hole 2 penetrates the inner part of the end plug 1, thereby a plenum part 5 and the outside are connected. Setting is effected in a half inserted state in the cladding tube by means of arranging the end plug 1 on a jig 11. The introducing hole 2 and the inner part of the sealing device are separated by a ring 13, and air is exhausted from an outlet 12 and a tube part 9. Then, an atomospheric gas for welding is filled within the device and a prescribed gas is filled in the plenum part from the outlet 12 and the tube part 9. Thereafter, the cladding tube 4 and the end plug 1 are welded by a welding torch in the device after being further pushed in, and being temporally sealed the introducing hole 2. By such means, it is possible to enable the gas seal with ease.
