Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically judge the clogging and deformation of the pores of a porous shielding plate thereby to make the completely automatic tests possible by moving the shielding plate. CONSTITUTION:A porous shielding plate 1, which is set on a carraige 4 made movable in a horizontal direction X, is irradiated vertically with the parallel beam from an illuminating unit which is composed of a light source 6 and a lens 5. The light having passed through the pores 2 of the shielding plate 1 forms a shadow image upon a photoelectric detecting unit 9, which includes a one-dimentional photoelectric scanner having a size in a vertical direction W, and the shadow image is converted into electric signals. These analog signals are converted by a binary circuit 10 into white image signals of logic 1 and black image signals of logic 0. A calculating unit 12 counts the number of 1 and 0 for each bit unit and compares it with the value of a memory unit 13. Since the compared values fail to coincide in case the pore get clogged or deformed, a warning is displayed in a display unit 14 to inform the operator of the test results.
