Abstract

PURPOSE: To devise to supply hot water in a high temperature and to prevent the water staying in pipes from freezing in winter by arranging various kinds of valves in a fixed order in a feed pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A main water tap 9, an apparatus stop valve 10, and nonreturn valve 22 are successively arranged from the upper stream side in a feed pipe 11, while a sliding switch valve 41 is fitted to the nonreturn valve 22 in one body. In this construction, when the apparatus stop valve 10 is opened after a burner 4 is ingnited by the turning of an operation shaft 7, air charge valves 24 and 25, and drainage valves 33 and 34 are simultaneously closed, and the water introduced through the main tap 9 is conducted exclusively through the feed pipe 11 to be heated in a water-heater heat exchanger 3 and issued from a hot water tap 14 for supplying hot water of a high temperature even in winter. When the hot water tap 14 is a little opened after the main tap 9 is opened and the apparatus stop valve 10 is closed, the sliding switch valve 41 opens its valve mouth 13 in the closing state of the nonreturn valve 22, and the water from the main water tap 9 is issued from the hot water tap 14 through a bypass passage 12, preventing the freezing inside pipes by its passage.
