Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency and enclosure reliability by welding the outside circumference par part of a flat-type case with junction materials and melting locally a part linking with outside air and performing vacuum enclosure. CONSTITUTION:Crystal vibrator piece 7 is held between cases 1 and 8, and they are joined to each other by junction materials 3 to keep airtightness. A part of the enclosure face is provided with no junction materials to generate minute air flowing part(a gap of approximately 10mu) 9 to the package outside. The outside part of the air flowing part is provided with protrusions 10 in the plane direction which are extended from case 8 and vibrator piece respectively. Protrusion 10 is formed in a small cubic volume. Protrusion 10 is melted instantaneously and locally in vacuum to close minute air flowing hole 9, thereby enclosing as shown in 11. In this method, gas which flows into the package is little and has no influence on the vibrator, and solder supply is needless, so that work efficiency and enclosure reliability can be improved.
