Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize solar heat as an energy source for heating, etc. without causing corrosion, breeding of algae, etc. by heating regenerative spheres, with the sunlight, each obtd. by filling a medium of a limited m.p. such as fats and oils or wax into a shell made of metal or synthetic resin of a specific softening point.

Many spheres 3 are arranged in covered container 4 and exposed to the sunlight. Spheres 3 are then fed to heat exchanger 5 filled with a liquid to be heated, to transfer the heat, and they are returned to container 4 with recovery pump 6.
