Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively use a latent-heat-utilized identical regenerative substance, by heating and cooling the substance around its melting point both in cooling and in heating. CONSTITUTION:A cooling/heating system 1 comprises a regenerator 5 having a plurality of regenerative capsules 4 containing the latent-heat-utilized regenerative substance 3 of 29 to 52 deg.C in melting point, and pipes 7-10 for causing a regenerative substance heating medium such as water to circulate through the regenerator 5 and a solar heat collector 6. The heat medium is filled between the regenerative capsules 4 in the regenerator 5. When a pump 11 is driven, the medium is conducted to the heat collector 6 throught the pipes 7, 8 to heat the regenerative substance 3. The medium is conducted from the regenerator 5 to a cooling tower 16 through pipes 13, 14 to cool the regenerative substance 3.
