CONSTITUTION: In an indirect heat exchanger 13 installed in a plant which performs turbine power-generation by the use of the vapour of organic operating medium, indirect heat exchange is performed between heating medium and intermediate thermal medium, and direct heat exchange is performed between intermediate thermal medium and organic operating medium. Heating medium is flowed from an inlet 12 to an exit 14, and intermediate thermal medium is flowed upwards vertically in a heating pipe 16 from an inlet 15, and at the upper part of the heating pipe 16, a gathering part 17 having free liquid surface of intermediate thermal medium is formed, and upper said gathering part 17, an exit 20 for organic medium vapour is formed. Thus, the organic medium vapour 19 separated when the heating medium and the intermediate thermal medium exchange heat in the heating pipe 16 can be flowed out rapidly from the exit 20 through the heating pipe 16.
