Abstract

PURPOSE: To curb NOx generated by a burner, by fitting shutter-type dampers to primary, secondary and tertiary air intakes and connecting them with a single driving device for controlling combustion air.
CONSTITUTION: Primary and secondary sleeves 23, 24 are fitted around an impeller 21 at the tip of a heavy oil burner 20 to annularly divide air from primary and secondary register air passage 22, and a secondary vane 25 is also fitted between them. A tertiary register air passage 26 is added adjacent to the said air passage 22. Air intakes 22a, 26a of these air passages 22, 26 are equipped with shutter-type dampers 27, 28 respectively and they are connected to a shaft 30 of a driving device 29. The dampers 27, 28 driven by the driving device 29 can control the primary, secondary and tertiary air flows 31, 32, 33, making them swirl through their inclination.
