Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the nuclear fuel element from damage by coating uniformly graphite within the nuclear fuel cladding tube.
CONSTITUTION: Plunger 3 and rod 4 are entered up to the bottom of cladding tube fixed vertically, supplying gelled graphite paint 2 with spatula from the bottom of cladding tube 1. Nextly the driving unit 5 is moved with micro-speed to adjust the plunger 3. Then, the driving unit 5 is moved at a certain speed to form uniform thickness of graphite coating layer 2' within cladding tube 1. The cladding tube 1 is heat treated within oxygen atmosphere at the temperature of about 200 - 300°C to evaporate liquid media remained on the coated layer allowing also the resin which disperses colloidal graphite stably to decompose and remove.
