Abstract
PURPOSE:To switch the high frequency signal, by connection of two or more diodes in series and grounding the junction with greater capacity than the inverse capacity. CONSTITUTION:The diodes 41 and 42 are connected in series, and the junction is grounded with the capacitor 15. When the diode switch of this constitution is turned off, the capacitance of the diode C11=C12=C1, and the impedance at the output side viewed from A can almost be negligible if the capacitor 15 is Cs>>C1 for the voltage VA at the junction A. Further, the output voltage Vo at the terminal 9 is the voltage division of VA by C12 and the resistor 12. On the other hand, when this switch is ON, if Cs is selected so that it shows sufficiently higher inductance than the power supply and load resistor, the voltage drop due to Cs can be neglected and the voltage ratio can remarkably be improved.
