Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit which can be easily made into an integrated circuit with excellent linearity and wide variation width by connecting a power supply to an emitter common connection point and by controlling its current value with an external control signal. CONSTITUTION:Emitters of transistors Tr1 and Tr2 are connected in common to variable current supply 12, whose output is varied with the input of control input terminal 10. The equivalent circuit of oscillator circuit (a) is shown in figure (b); terminals 13 and 16 are equivalent to collector terminals of Trs 1 and 2 respectively, base resistances of Trs 1 and 2 correspond to equivalent resistances 19 and 20, and input resistances are shown by equivalent resistances 21 and 22. Its oscillation frequency fOsc is expressed by equation [1] (L, C, q, T, and I denote the inductance of coil 5, the capacity of capacitor 6, electron charge, the absolute temperature, and the current value of current supply 12) and it is clear judging from equation [I] that the oscillation frequency can be varied by varying IO.
