Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a catalyst plate which firmly holds sticked catalyst and is easily fabricated by sticking a kneaded material of the catalyst and fine connecting flakes with heat and corrosion resistance to a base plate.
CONSTITUTION: 13 Cr steel base plate 4 is sprayed with molten 13 Cr steel, and to the sprayed surface is sticked a kneaded material of fine grains of V, Ti, iron alloy, etc. and 0.1W10.0wt% of fine connecting flakes such as heat and corrosion resistant fibers 11 made of glass, etc. The sticking is carried out, e.g. by coating plate 4 with a thin layer of the kneaded material in the liquid form. Metal fine particles 8 due to molten 13 Cr steel droplets are sticked to small piece part 4a of plate 4 and grown to form a metallikon layer, and at the same time, to form an irregular rough surface and small open cavities 9. 10 μ order very fine metal particles 10 attach to the inside of each cavity 9. Accordingly, fibers 11 hitch on particles 10 to firmly hold the catalyst layer. Plate 4 may be a flat or bent plate, a porous flat plate, etc. A plurality of the resulting catalyst plates are transversely arranged as unit catalyst 2 in duct 1 through which NOx-contg. exhaust gas flows to form row 3.
