Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to economically treat by solidifying recovered sulfur oxides, by absorbing sulfur oxides in caustic soda solution and atomizing the above solution before entering in electrical dust precipitator after regenerating by a high temperature gas, at the time of treating sulfur oxides accumulated on carbon group catalyst for exhaust gas treatment.
CONSTITUTION: Caustic soda solution contained acidic sodium sulfite and sent from the tank 2 by the pump 17, is atomized into the exhaust gas discharged from the furnace in the stabilizer 2. Moisture is completely vaporized here and sulfur oxides in exhaust gas are converted into solid Glauber's salt. Then, the above salt is collected by the electrical dust precipitator 4 and is taken out from the opening 4a, Moreover, the exhaust gas is entered in desulfurization or desulfurization deodorization apparatus 6 by the fan 5 and is discharged from the chimney 10 removing unreacted sulfur oxides by the carbonaceous catalyst layer 6a. The catalyst layer 6b adsorbed and accumulated sulfur oxides, is removed by the gas from the regeneration gas producer 7 and a part of removed high concentration sulfur oxides gas is sent to the gas-liquid contact apparatus 8 throu gh the duct 14 and sulfur oxides are removed by the caustic soda solution and then, absorbing solution is returned to the tank 9.
