Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a control valve device for a pressure storage type fuel injector, which can be readily manufactured and permits control of the rate of fuel injection at the time of slight injection and also ready control of the fuel injection timing.
CONSTITUTION: With rotation of cams 57a and 57b fitted on the same fuel cam shaft 4 coupled to an engine (not shown), in the rising stroke of the cam 57b the plunger 54b is raised, whereby an oil supply port 53b is opened by a notched lead 55b. With the subsequent rising stroke of the cam 57a a control valve 58 is opened through a plunger 54a, thus permitting fuel to flow into a barrel 51a. With further rise of the cam 57a an oil supply port 53a is opened by a notched lead 55a, whereby high pressure fuel from a pressure storage unit is supplied through a control valve 58 and fuel supply ports 53a and 53b to an automatic fuel injection valve. To reduce the rate of fuel injection at this time, a control section 56b consisting of rack teeth is operated. Also, to change the fuel injection start timing a control section 56a is operated.
