Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect a transistor, thyristor, and rectifier by applying a series current detection element ot each transistor and detecting the current applied to the transistor even if current is applied through any paths.
CONSTITUTION: Current detection resitors 41 and 42 are connected to the respective emitters of transistors 11 and 12. When overcurrent is detected by the current detection resistor 41, the transistor 11 turns OFF and when overcurrent is detected by a current detection resistor 2, the transistor 11 or 12 turns OFF. Accordingly, when the overcurrent is detected by the current value detected by the current detection resitors 2, 41, and 42 is within the range of the allowable current value of the transistor, rectifier, and thyristor, these elements can be protected rom destruction due to overcurrent.
