Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent tripping of the control rod driving pump by means of a passage selector to be controlled by the scram signal at a branch-off section where a water filling piping to an accumulator is shifted in rear of a system flow rate control valve of a control rod hriving dydraulic apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: When a scram signal is inputted from the system of protecting the unclear reactor, a scram inlet valve 26 and a scram outlet valve 27 open fast simultaneously and a high pressure force of an accumulator 25 works on the under surface of a piston 11 of a control rod driving mechanism. On the other hand, the top of the piston 11 is opened to the atmospheric pressure in the scram exhaust system through a scram outlet valve 27. Therefore, due to a high difference in the differential pressure between the top and bottom surfaces of the piston 11, the piston 11 rises to send a control rod 10 to the furnace core to perform a scram. A scram signal activates a passage switching valve 33 to be switched from the side of a driving water pressure regulating valve 23 to that of a scram accumulator 25 thereby starting the filing for each accumulator 25 and the supply of cooling water to the control rod driving mechanism after the completion of the scram.
