Abstract

PURPOSE:A power transmission system which can prevent a hydraulic bearing from seizure by releasing fluid pressure of a tension-pulley-operating fluid pressure cylinder at the time when the system is switched off to cut off the pressure oil which is supplied for the hydraulic bearing by a motor-drive hydraulic pump. CONSTITUTION:A rotation shaft 12, running through a hydraulic bearing applied with fluid pressure by a hydraulic pump operated by a motor not illustrated, is kept by a supporter 10 and driven by a motor 15 with the aid of pulleys 14, 15 and a belt 16. When supply is off,a dimagnetized solenoid SOL changes over a switch valve 22 to release the fluid pressure from the fluid pressure cylinder 21 so the tension pulley 19 run by it may loosen the belt 16.
