Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent frequent starting and stop of a coolant pump by connecting the liquid storage of a first coolant tank of which inside is divided into the liquid storage and the liquid passage by an overflow weir, and the bottom of a second coolant tank in which the gaseous part communicates to an evaporator, through an U-tube.
CONSTITUTION: In high cooling loading, the coolant liquefied in a condenser 3 passes through a liquid coolant pipe 26 and flows into the liquid storage 9 of an evaporator 5, and is sent to a sprayer 8. On the other hand, a portion of the coolant is stored in a second coolant tank 21 until the pressure difference between the evaporator 5 and the condenser 3 is balanced, and the concentration of absorbing liquid is increased, and the cooling output corresponding to high load can be obtain- ed. When cooling load is reduced, the coolant in the second coolant tank 21 is discharged into the liquid storage 18 of a first coolant tank 20 through an U-tube 23, accompanied with the pressure decrease in the condenser 3, and flows into the evaporator 5 through the liquid coolant pipe 26, and the residual coolant after used for cycle circulates from a coolant pump 6 to the liquid coolant pipe 26, and thus, the coooant pump 6 is operated continuously.
