Abstract
PURPOSE: A thermal decomposition furnace of simple structure designed to decompose dusts efficiently, continuously, rapidly, and securely, wherein the dusts are dried by hot gas, and dispersed uniformaly in the furnace after blending well with charged hot sands.
CONSTITUTION: Dusts in the dust storage tank 18. are fed through the chute 5 and the changing hole 4 into the furnace 1 by the screw conveyor, 6 and sent gradually to the center of the furnace 1 by the rotary dryer blades 7. The dusts are dried while being in contact with the hot gas rising toward the exhaust 3 thorugh the gaps of the rotary dryer blades 7. The dusts thus dried are mixed with hot sands introduced from the chute 9 in the guide plate 8, dropped on the rotating dispersion element 16 and blended uniformly with the sands throughout the furnace 1. The dusts are thermally decomposed by the heat of the hot sands while staying at the bottom of the furnace. Combustible gases produced are removed from the exhaust 3: oils formed, from the outlet 17.
