Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a polymerizable prepolymer having excellent adherence to metals, curability, hardness, flexibility, etc., by reacting an organic diisocyanate with a hydroxyl group-containing polymerizable monomer and a polyester polyol.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyester polyol consisting of 9W70 wt.% of dimer acid component, having 2W8 hydroxyl groups in one molecule, and an average molecular weight of 400-6,000, is prepared. (B) An organic diisocyanate, e.g. tolylene diisocyanate, etc., is reacted with (C) a hydroxyl group-containing polymerizable monomer, e.g. β-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate, etc.. The reaction product thus obtained is reacted with the polyester polyol (A) to give a polymerizable prepolymer free of an isocyanate group. The prepolymer is cured by heating on addition of benzoyl peroxide, etc., or by in radiating ultraviolet rays on addition of benzoin, etc..
