Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the signals of the periods of actual key operations and enable smooth musical tone performance to be executed by detecting whether keyboards are in a key touch state or key detach state from the tone assignment signals of series timings and contolling the memory circuits which store these.
CONSTITUTION: An S-R.FF 42a is always set by the sequence signal S4 which cyclically transfers its state at every one period of the timing output signls corresponding to each pitch name of keyboards. The FF 42a is set by the tone assignment signal DP which comes in first in the period other than the signal S4 after the key touch start. The output Q thereof is transmitted by clock signals τ3 + τ5 + ... + τ8 to a D.FF 42b, c to become the foot key press signal FOOT. This FOOT signal is latched by the signal S3 in a latch circuit 43a becoming the PEDAL-ON signal indicating the foot key pressing. Since the FF 42a is reset by the signal S4, the FOOT signal also becomes a low level with a slight delay than the signal S4 but the PEDAL-ON signal is latched at the timing of the signal S3 and therefore maintains a high level as long as the key touch stage is continued. Thereby, the signal of the period for the actual key operation may be secured.
