Abstract
PURPOSE: Stannic acid or a divalent metal stannate is incorporated to a blend polymer from an ethylene polymer and a chlorinated polylefin to produce said composition excellent in heat resistance and electrical insulation and free of flame retarder blooming.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) 100 parts by wt of a blend polymer consisting of 10-90 wt% of an ethylene polymer or a copolymer from ethylene and other α-olefin, and 90-10 wt% of a chlorinated polyolefin of 20-50 wt% chlorine content are added 1-30, prferably 3-20 parts of s stannic acid or a divalent metal stannate. When necessary an antioxidant, stabilizer, carbon black, peroxide and others are admixed to the composition. The stannic acid or stannate is, e.g., preferably zinc stannate or stannic acid 1-12 hydrate.
