Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the repeated open/close operation of a clock valve and smoothly control the quantity of feed water, by providing a trigger circuit having a hysteresis as a device for applying a block valve open/close signal.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotational frequency N5 corresponding to a predetermined quantity Q1 of feed water is reached, the trigger circuit 20 generates the block valve open/close signal to entirely close the block valve 5. Therefore, a feed water pump is controlled by a feed water controller 10 to a rotational frequency N3 for the same flow rate Q1 as before the block valve 5 is closed. As for the increase in the quantity of feed water, the block valve 5 is fully opened by the signal generated by the trigger circuit 20 when a rotational frequency N2 for a predetermined flow rate Q2 higher than the flow rate Q1 corresponding to the entire closing of the block valve 5 is reached. Then, the rotational frequency of the pump is reduced from N2 to N1 by the action of the feed water controller 10 and the pump is controlled to the same flow rate Q2 as before the block valve 5 is closed.
