Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a circuit which features both the AGC and DAGC functions and is easy to be integrated in the IF amplifier circuit common to AM and FM, by using the voltage between both ends of the collector load resistance of the transistor to supply the AGC voltage as the DAGC voltage.
CONSTITUTION: The common emitter of the IF differential amplifier, in which the emitters of 1st and 2nd transistor TrQ1 and Q2 are connected to each other in the IF amplifier circuit common to AM and FM, is connected to the collector of TrQ3 which constitutes the constant current source circuit. Then the emitter of TrQ5 using the AGC voltage as the base input is connectrd to load resistance r1 common to the emitter, and the collector of TrQ5 is connected to the power sources of high frequency amplifier and frequency converter circuits 1 and 2 via resistance R7. Thus, the current of TrQ5 is flown by the AGC voltage, lowering the gain of the amplifier consisting of TrQ1 and Q2. At the same time, the overlap voltage r1 of TrQ5 is used as the DAGC voltage of the AM high frequency and the frequency converter circuit. And switch SW1 is turned off in the case of the IF amplification of FM, and thus the collector current of TrQ5 is turned off.
