Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a device for purifying sanitary sewage, which can efficiently purify high density BOD sanitary sewage of lavatory using small amount of washing water by returning sanitary sewage collected from the intermediate depth portion in a settling tank for settling to separate floated materials of sanitary sewage aerated by an aeration tank and separated from solid materials in a separation tank, into the separation tank.

CONSTITUTION: This device 2 for purifying sanitary sewage, separates solid materials from liquid in sanitary sewage introduced from an input tube 3 in a separation tank 4, treats it in an aeration tank 6, settles to separate floated materials in settling tank 7, and then discharges it after sterilizing it in a sterilization tank 9. When compressed air is fed through an air distribution tube 5 into a return tube 8, most clean intermediate water in the tank 7 purified in the tank 7 by an air lifting effect is continuously returned to the tank 4. The volume of the intermediate water returned to the tank 4 is controlled to the amount adapted to diluting high density sewage flown from the tube 3 via a flow control valve 52, and excessive intermediate water is returned then through a return hole 51 into the tank 6. Since the BOD concentration of the sanitary sewage is lowered by the intermediate water as above, the device can sufficiently raise the aeration effect.
