Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a noble metal catalyst from lowering its catalytic activity even in a process wherein an arsenic-containing petroleum cut is treated without removal of arsenic, by oxidizing arsenic in the petrolenm cut.
CONSTITUTION: A petrodeum cut such as a cracked gasoline is brought into contact with air, for instance, in a vessel, to oxidize arsenic contained in the cut. The resulting petroleum cut is then treated in a reaction process using a noble metal catalyst such as vanadium without removal of arsenic
