Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform ideal braking operation even under heavy load on vehicle, by installing a G valve in a rear wheel brake system.
CONSTITUTION: A plug 21 having a stepped axial hole 23 fitted with a stepped piston 24, and a ball 28 are provided in a casing 20 of the G valve 100. The G valve is installed between a tandem master cylinder 11 and a rear wheel cylinder 5. When the braking pressure reaches a predetermined level in braking operation under heavy load on vehicle, the G valve 100 acts to cut off the hydraulic pressure supply to the rear wheel cylinder 15 and temporarily maintain the rear wheel hydraulic pressure at a predetermined level and thereafter resume the hydranlic prssuresupply to perform ideal braking operation. Therefore, as for the vehicle loaded, the wheel braking pressure is temporarily maintained at the predetermined level and thereafter restored to the master cylinder pressure, and the braking force does not become insufficient. As for the vehicle unloaded, the braking operation is performed by relatively low master cyeinder pressure
