Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out aerobic, biological treatment of waste water effectively, by arranging in an aeration tank more than two plates of unwoven fabric or foaming resin having a three-dimenisonal net-like structure, and effecting aeration directly from downwards of said plates.
CONSTITUTION: Filler members 2 in the form of plares of unwoven fabric made of synthetic fibres or foaming resin, having a three-dimensional net-like structur, are arranged in an aeration tank 1 with predetermined intervals, in parallel to each other and perpendicularly to the bottom surface of the aeration tank 1. Aeration is effected directly from aerating means 3 such as aerating tube or sparger disposed downwardly of the blocks of said filler members. Thus, by the use of filler material having a special structure, excessive separation of sludge is not caused if treatment of direct aeration is applied, and biological treatment can be carried out at a high efficiency
