Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the short circuit flow and channeling of waste water so that the sufficient contact of the waste water and anaerobic bacteria is attained and treatment efficiency is enhanced by installing plural pieces of partition walls to a vertical circuitous type to form water courses where the waste water flows. CONSTITUTION:A carrier to which the anaerobic bacteria is stuck is packed into a treatment tank 3 and the waste water to be sterilized is passed in this carrier packed part and is brought into contact with the anaerobic bacteria, by which the waste water is sterilized. The plural partition walls 4a-4f spaced transversely from each other are perpendicularly disposed in the carrier packed part. Flow passages are successively and alternately provided to the top or rear ends of the walls 4a-4f to form the waste water passages in which the waste water flows in the vertical circuitous type. The short circuit flow and channeling of the waste water are extremely decreased and the sufficient contact of the waste water with the anaerobic bacteria is attained by forming the waste water passages in such a manner, by which the waste water is sterilized and cleaned. The solid matter clogging the flow passages is moved to form the fresh flow passages by adequately changing the flow directions of the waste water in these waste water flow passages to arbitrary directions. The treatment efficiency is thus additionally improved.
