Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize an evaporator at a maximum efficiency by arranging in thermal conduction an electrical heater capable of controlling the heating value on the temperature-sensitive cylinder of an expansion valve and controlling the heating value so that the evaporator can be kept in wet operation substantially.
CONSTITUTION: To the temperature-sensitive cylinder 5 of an expansion valve 4, an electrical heater 7 capable of controlling the heating value freely is installed in thermal conduction, and the pressure of charged gas is varied due to not only the temperature of coolant in a pipe 6 but the temperature of the electrical heater 7. The degree X of drying of gas at the exit of an evaporator 3 is calculated from the evaporation tempearature TE, condensation temperature Tc, and compressor-discharging gas temperature TH of three detection elements, and if said drying degree X is within a fixed value, the conduction current to the electrical heater 7 is not varied, and if the degree is above the fixed value, the conduction current is increased, the turning of the expansion valve 4 is increased, and the degree of drying is lowered to the fixed drying degree X. If the drying degree is above the fixed value, conduction current is reduced, and the drying degree is increased to the fixed drying degree X
