Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce capacity of driving motor for accelerating flywheel and reduce running cost by allowing the flywheel to accelerate with magnetic energy of coil for inverter operation of converter.
CONSTITUTION: Flywheel 12 is driven with driving motor 11, converting the inertial energy thereof to electric energy with generator 13, and feeding to coil 17 through converter 16. Converter 16 having thyristor enables to change over the operation of inverter and converter, changing over converter 16 to inverter operation with the reduction of flywheel 12 speed during converter operation, supplying magnetic energy of coil 17 to generator 13, driving generator 13 as a motor, and increasing flywheel 12 speed. Thereby the driving motor capacity is reduced with reduction of running cost
