Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide rear wheels with greater braking force than with front wheels for improving braking characteristics during commercial operation.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure transmitter 18 is provided between a front wheel brake circuit 9 and a rear wheel brake circuit 13 to ensure that greater hyrsulic pressure is applied to the rear wheels. When a motorman depresses a brake pedal, pressure commensurate to the force of depression is gnerated in a circuit 8 and this braking force is indirectly to the front wheel brake circuit 9 by way of a pressure transmitter 18, applying a braking force to the front wheels 10 in proportion to the said braking force. On the other hand, pressure is directly transmitted to the rear brake circuit 13 simultaneously from the circuit 8, thereby applying a braking force to rear wheels. In this instance, a pressure on the rear wheel brake circuit 13 is relatively increased by the amount of resistance generated by a spring 21 of the pressure transmitter 18
