Abstract
PURPOSE:To promote flow of molten blast furnace slag and prevent adhesion thereof when the slag is stepwise dropped onto spouts, and formation and growth of crystals are facilitated with repeated cooling and stirring at every dropping, by vibrating the spouts. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of inclined spouts 1a-d are stepwise arranged, and molten blast furnace slag 8a is successively dropped, spread on every spout, and stirred with turbulence formed at the time of dropping while facilitating heat diffusion due to radiation. At this time, vibrator 12 is attached to each of the spouts and the molten slag is successively dropped while vibrating the spouts to prevent adhesion of solidified slag to the spouts and to make it possible to easily remove a small amt. of residual solidified slag.
