Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the above-identified machine, which is small in size and light in weight and has a reduced mechanism time constant, by providing a stator having alternately arranged N and S poles and an armature having slots equal in number to the number of said magnetic poles and provided with respective windings and teeth striding two adjacent magnetic poles and each provided with a central notch.
CONSTITUTION: A stator 1 has alternately arranged N and S poles excited by permanent magnets 2. A stator 3 has slots 4 equal in number to the number of said poles and provided with respective windings 5. The armature has teeth 6, each of which has a surface facing the gap and having a length capable of striding two adjacent magnetic poles on the stator and is provided at the center with a dummy slot 7. With such a construction, an output torque is obtained within a predetermined angle range from a stable angle position at the time of absence of current. Thus, it is possible to improve the servo control property, thus permitting simplificatin of the servo circuit. In addition, since the magnetic flux of the permanent magnets always efficiently links with the armature windings, it is possible to reduce the mechanical time constant with a small-size light-eight construction.
