Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the stable point of the movable unit constant by employing a four-phase simultaneous excitation system for driving the movable unit.
CONSTITUTION: A fixed unit 41, which has multiple teeth 43 on both the upper and lower side faces at regular intervals, and a movable unit 42, which has an exciting part 44 opposite to said teeth, are provided at fixed spaces and locations. The exciting part 44 consists of a permanent magnet 45, which has a pair of N-pole 47, 48 and S-pole 49, 50, and the other one 46 which has a pair of N-pole 51, 52 and S- pole 53, 54, the respective poles 47∼54 are located so that these are shifted by 1/8 pitches when the interval P between the teeth 43 of the fixed unit 41 is made one pitch. In this way, four phases of the permanent magnets are simulataneously excited, the stable point of the movable unit is obtained by balancing the magnetic attraction by the four poles.
