Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize BOD concentration in an aeration tank, by introducing domestic waster water into a sedimentation chamber, and delivering soled filthy matters thus separated into a digestion chamber, while delivering supernatant liquid directly to the aeration tank such that it may not be mixed with filthy water in the digestion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Domestic waste water is introduced into a sedimentation chamber via filthy-water introducing pipe 1, and solid filthy matters deposited are introduced into digestion chamber 4 through a gap formed at the lower end portion of partition wall 10, so as to cause anaerobic fermentation in the chamber 4. Supernatant liquid in the sedimentation chamber 2 flows into connecting pipe 3 disposed on the opposite side of said pipe 1 with respect to a baffle plate 13 which is disposed at the central portion of the chamber 1, and then it is introduced into aeration chamber 6 via flow-rate controlling chamber 5. Therefore, almost no filthy water in chamber 4 does not flow into the aeration chamber 6, so that BOD concentration in chamber 6 is always kept constant and oxidizing reaction of contact oxidizing plate 14 can be stabilized. Filthy water treated aerobically is sent to settling chamber 8, and supernatant liquid in the chamber 8 is discharged to the outside via outlet pipe 9 after it is disinfected in disinfection chamber 15
