Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A communicating hole 14 and a through hole 17 are shaped to an inner cylinder 2, to which a piston 4 is fitted in a sliding-free form, and a by- pressure chamber 16 is shaped by adding an outer cylinder 15 while a plate 10 provided with a stopper ring 12, a spring 11, a communicating hole 9 and an oil removing passage 13 is disposed into a gas pressure chamber 8 at an upper portion of an oil chamber 5b at the upper side. Consequently, when sudden impact force works to a shock absorber body 1 from an upper portion a of the spring due to circuit travelling, sharp curve travelling etc., the inner and outer cylinders 2, 15 integrally move to the lower b side of the spring while the plate 10 relatively floats in the inner cylinder 2 against the force of the spring 11 by compression acceleration, communication between gas by-pressure chambers 8, 16 is interupted, and the reaction of the spring at the upper a side of the spring becomes large, thus absorbing impact.
