Abstract
PURPOSE: To utilize the waste water from living at the housing complex of small scale, etc. by circulating as the water for toilet or air conditioning after having cleaned the above waste water by passing it through the packed layer of spherical active carbon between the cathode and anode, then passing electric current between 11 both of the electrodes and making the suspended particles in the liquid float up by means of the bubbles of H2 gas generated from the cathode part, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water 3 from living is passed through the layer of spherical (granular) active carbon between the cathode 5 and the anode 4, and the comparatively high voltage is impressed between both of the electrodes. With this operation, the adsorption is promoted at each part of particles owing to the electrophoresis, at the same time, the particles themselves wear the bipolarity and the decomposition of COD components by oxidation progresses at the anode part. On the other hand, owing to the rise of bubbles of H2 gas generated from the cathode part of each particle, the suspended particles in the liquid are floated up and are discharged 7 through the overflow part 6. Then, the treated water passes through the sand filter layer 2, its pH value is detected 8, alkali is injected 9 so as to make the water neutral and then the treated water 10 is taken out.
