Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately control a true air fuel ratio to a theoretical one, by varying the delay time of a delay circuit depending on the flow rate of sucked air or supplied fuel.
CONSTITUTION: An electronic controller 3 processes the output signals of an air fuel ratio sensor 1 and a sucked air flow rate sensor 2 to actuate an air fuel ratio regulator 4 of a fuel injector for an engine to equalize the true air fuel ratio to the theoretical one. The output signal of the air fuel ratio sensor 1 is applied to a discrimination circuit 31. The delay circuit 32 is operated by a signal of the discrimination circuit 31. It is decided by an integration circuit 34 depending on the output signal of the delay circuit 32 whether the true air fuel ratio should be increased or decreased. The air fuel ratio regulator 4 is actuated by the output voltage of the integration circuit 34.
