Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve fuel cost, output efficiency as well as to prevent abnormal combustion of engine in such a way that air-to-fuel ratio is controlled by detecting knocking condition in the engine.
CONSTITUTION: An up-down counter 8 works such that output signals from a flip flop 7 at the time when count-clock signals h from a timing control circuit 5 are input, increase the calculating value by making up-count at the time of high level by engenderment of knocking, to the contrary at the time of low level without knocking, the calculating value is decreased by making down-count. When abnormal combustion continues by knocking, and the calculating value of the up-down counter 8 increases, pulse width relatively enlarges corresponding to this, fuel flow rate relatively increases, to move the air-to-fuel ratio on the concentrated side.
