Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure water quality accurately and stably by measuring the quality of tap water periodically with a water quality measuring apparatus and washing the apparatus with tap water when the value subtracting the tap water measured value from the measured value of specimen water exceeds the set value.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic calibration start is commanded by an automatic calibration command timer 19 which measures calibration intervals. Next, a change- over valve is changed over and the turbidity of tap water is measured with a turbidometer 7 for a fixed time when the measured value by the tap water stabilizes. The tap water turbidity measuring time is determined by a tap water measured value (error component) take-in commander 18 and the stablized tap water measured value is taken in an automatic calibration operator 8. The tap water measured value is the error component by the contamination at the detecting end and in the piping and is compared with an error set value Q0. When the tap water measured value is above Q0, a command for washing by tap water is emitted to wash the inside of the detecting end and piping. When the measured value of the tap water lowers down to Q0 or under and the washing is finished, the measured value of the tap water is entered to the operator 8. After the error component has been changed by this take-in, the specimen water-tap water select valve is changed over, whereby the measurement of the quality of the specimen water is accomplished.
