Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a grindstone which has highly accurate grain concentration by forming grooves on the surface of the grindstone and aligning grains on the grooves then bonding the grains by an adhesive filled in the grooves. Width of the grooves is a little narrower than diameters of the grains.
CONSTITUTION: Grooves 2 are formed with about equal interaval depending on required density on the surface 11 of a grindstone base 1 which has been at least metallized its surface 11. Width of the grooves is a little narrower than diameters of grains 5. An electroconductive adhesive 3 is painted on the surface 11 of the grindstone base 1 including the inside of the grooves 2. Then the adhesive 3 is scraped off to expose the metalic surface 11 or the surface of the grindstone base, and the grains 5 are scattered over the surface 11 and orderly bonded on the grooves 2, but grains which do not adhere are eliminated. The tentatively adhered grains 5 are completely bonded on the surface 11 of the grindstone base 1 by electroplated layer 6, thus obtaining a desired grindstone.
