USE: Antibacterials having remarkable effects on bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas, compared with the carbenicillin and other well-known compounds, with low toxicity.
PROCESS: A group of formula II is introduced into the α-amino group of 6-(α- amino-α-phenylacetamido)-penicillanic acid by any one of the known methods to give the objective compound of formula I.
