Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the rectifying ripple of a thyristor motor without using a DCL by employing magnetic material at the wedge of the armature slot of the motor. CONSTITUTION:An armature coil 8 is inserted into the slot 7 formed on the armature iron core 6 of a thyristor motor employing a sinusoidal wave current drive type cyclo converter as a converter. The upper end of the coil 8 is fixed with a wedge 9 of magnetic material inserted to the opening end side of the slot 7 to thereby increase the slot leakage to thus increase the leakage impedance of a main circuit so as to increase the transient impedance of the motor. The slot leakage may also be regulated by employing nonmagnetic material 11 inserted axially into the midway of the magnetic material 10 as a wedge 9.
