Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce NOx by dividing the primary air, and whirling a mixture of the secondary air and a recycling gas for mixing evenly.
CONSTITUTION: Ring-shaped triple passages 4, 5 and 6 which surround an atomizer body 10a are provided. The passages consist of a primary air passage 5 that directly surrounds the atomizer body 10, a secondary air passage 4 that is equipped with rotating vanes 9 and is located outside of the passage 5, and a gas recycling passage 6a which is located outside of the passage 5. Combustion air is supplied to each of the ring-shaped triple passages from a plenum chamber which covers the triple passages. A combustion gas is introduced to the secondary air passage 4 from slits 7 provided at the rear end of the gas recycling passage 6a. By splitting the primary air, forming of soot or graphite is prevented. And by whirling a mixture of the secondary air and the recycled gas, it is evenly mixed, thus reducing NOx.
