Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent partial rise in the temperature of coil through even distribution of flow velocity in respective horizontal passages by reducing the height of a horizontal oil passage close to a flow bending plate as compared with a horizontal oil passage at the center of the flow bending section.
CONSTITUTION: A disc-shaped winding 1 of a transformer 1 is formed by piling a plurality of coils 3 vertically through a horizontal oil passage 4 while insulated cylinders 7 and 8 are arranged inside and outside the winding to form vertical oil passages 5 and 6. In addition, a flow bending plate 11 is so arranged to divide vertical oil passages into a plurality of flow bending passages alternately closed. One flow bending section is further divided into areas A and B in such a manner that the horizontal oil passage 4 between coils 3 in the area B close to the flow bending plate is reduced in the height as compared with that between the coils in the area A. With such as arrangement, even distribution of flow speed is made possible in the respective horizontal oil passages throughout the flow bending section in the natural circulation of oil. Thus, resultant effective cooling can makes the rise in the temperature even.
